Managing Director, The Carlyle Group
Grishma Parekh is a Managing Director and Head of Origination for Carlyle Global Credit. She is also a member of the Investment Committees of BDC I, II and III. In addition, Ms. Parekh serves as Head of Carlyle Mezzanine Partners.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2007, Ms. Parekh was an investment banker with JPMorgan where she was responsible for the underwriting, structuring, execution and distribution of leveraged loans, bridge financings and high yield bonds.
Ms. Parekh has served as a board member or observer for several companies across a wide spectrum of industries including Shari’s Management, Document Technologies, FishNet Security, Garretson Resolution Group and Targus Group International. Additionally, Ms. Parekh co-leads Carlyle’s New York Women’s Employee Resource Group and serves on the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.
Ms. Parekh received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Information Systems from Stern School of Business at New York University. She is based in New York.
Stephanie’s practice focuses on advising U.S. and non-U.S. private investment fund sponsors on all aspects of their business, including establishment of private investment funds, portfolio investment activities, capital raising, fund regulatory and compliance matters and firm ownership and operational issues. She has worked with a variety of private fund sponsors, including large, diversified asset managers as well as emerging managers, in connection with the formation and ongoing management of buyout, direct lending, liquid credit, special situations, distressed and venture funds. Stephanie also has extensive expertise advising sponsors on establishing managed accounts and single investor funds involving a variety of U.S. and non-U.S. institutional investors.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Stephanie was a partner in the Private Investment Funds Group of Proskauer Rose LLP. She was also previously a Vice President and Senior Counsel at State Street Global Advisors where she was responsible for providing legal advice regarding US institutional investment management services and products.
Stephanie received her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in 2001, and her JD from Boston College Law School in 2004.

Dave's practice focuses on representing capital sources, private equity sponsors, real estate investment trusts and public companies in complex financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, restructurings and other special situation transactions. Dave has negotiated and closed transactions in a diverse group of industries, including energy, healthcare, media, retail, restaurant and technology industries. According to the 2017 edition of Chambers, "the thing that sets him apart from other counsel is that he gets to the answer fast; he can quickly understand a business issue and come up with a solution." Additionally, the Daily Journal named Dave one of the “Top 40 Under 40” lawyers for the State of California for 2017. Dave graduated with his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Northwestern University.
