Managing Partner, Sentinel Capital Partners
Mr. David S. Lobel founded Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm, 20 years ago and serves as its managing partner. Before establishing Sentinel, he spent 15 years at Smith Barney’s private equity affiliate, where he was a general partner and a managing director of Smith Barney. Previously, David was a consultant at Bain & Company. He received an MBA and an MS with distinction from Stanford University, and has served as a member of the Management Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business. David received a B.Sc. (Hons) with highest honors from South Africa’s University of the Witwatersrand. He also served in the South African Navy.

Mr. Drew Grabel is a corporate partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis. His practice focuses on private equity investments, representing clients with respect to investments in, and acquisitions and divestitures of, public and private companies. He has handled matters on behalf of many of the leading private equity firms in the country. Drew holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and received his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
