Co-Head of North American Real Estate and Senior Managing Director of Cerberus Capital Management
Ronald Kravit is Co-Head of North American Real Estate and Senior Managing Director of Cerberus Capital Management, a global alternative investment manager with over $34 billion in assets as of June 30, 2017.
Mr. Kravit joined Cerberus in 1996 and has since helped grow the firm’s real estate investment platform. Today, Cerberus is one of the world’s leading investors in opportunistic real estate and non-performing loans. Under Mr. Kravit’s leadership, Cerberus has raised four opportunistic real estate funds, while garnering investor support across the globe for its real estate platform. Mr. Kravit is a current member of the Cerberus Capital Senior Operating Committee and the Real Estate Committee.
From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Kravit was a Managing Director at Apollo Real Estate Advisors, L.P., where he was responsible for new business development, acquisitions and asset management. Prior to his tenure at Apollo, Mr. Kravit was a Managing Director at G. Soros Realty Advisors/Reichmann International, an affiliate of Soros Fund Management, from 1993 to 1994. Before joining Soros, Mr. Kravit was Vice President/Chief Financial Officer at the Maxxam Property Company in Houston from 1991 to 1993 and Vice President with Miller-Klutznick-Davis-Gray Co. in Los Angeles and Chicago from 1984 to 1991.
Mr. Kravit is a graduate of Georgetown University and received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is active in support of various programs at Georgetown University, University of Pennsylvania and the University of Southern California, especially providing mentorship and guidance for students in respective business schools. In addition, Mr. Kravit is an active supporter of New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Executive Director - Morgan Stanley Real Assets
Michael joined Morgan Stanley in 2009 and is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing transactions in the Northeastern United States on behalf of Morgan Stanley’s real estate funds
Previously, Michael worked at Credit Suisse DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners
Michael received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Michael also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School and a B.A. in History from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Principal, Commercial Real Estate Debt Group, Apollo Global Management
Catherine Chen joined Apollo Global Management in 2013 and is a Principal in the Real Estate Debt Group where she is primarily responsible for the sourcing and execution of commercial real estate debt investments. Prior to joining Apollo, Ms. Chen was a Vice President in the Commercial Real Estate Lending group at Morgan Stanley where she was involved in all facets of commercial mortgage origination, securitization, underwriting, and syndication. During her tenure at Morgan Stanley, Ms. Chen also worked in institutional sales and trading management, assisting in the organization and development of global equities and fixed income initiatives.
Ms. Chen graduated with an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Economics from the University of California - Berkeley. Ms. Chen is a member in CRE Finance Council and WX.
Partner & Chief Investment Officer, GMF Capital
Jeff Selinger is Chief Investment Officer of GMF Capital, an investment management platform engaged in private equity and alternative investments across a range of asset classes, including real estate, healthcare and structured credit. Prior to joining GMF, Jeff was a Managing Director of Vanbarton Group (formerly Emmes Asset Management), where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and execution of equity and credit acquisition opportunities. Jeff consummated more than $2 billion of investments across various property types and locations in U.S. markets on behalf of that firm’s institutional pension fund clients. Prior to joining Vanbarton in 2009, Jeff was an investment professional at Lehman Brothers where he evaluated investments on behalf of its real estate private equity funds. Jeff previously worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch.
Jeff holds a B.S. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Jennifer Morgan is a partner at King & Spalding and specializes in real estate private equity. Jennifer represents sponsors and institutional investors in a range of real estate investments and transactions.
Jennifer advises clients on structuring and negotiating fund formations and other capital transactions, including private real estate investment trusts and other structured investments. She often represents real estate private equity clients in connection with joint ventures, asset and entity-level acquisitions and dispositions, and related transactions.
Jennifer has been named a top real estate attorney in the 2013 through 2017 editions of Chambers USA, and was chosen as one of Fortune magazine’s Women Leaders in the Law in 2013. A regular speaker at real estate private equity conferences, Jennifer was recognized by the Legal 500 2016 guide in the Real Estate and Construction—Real Estate category. In addition, she was named a New York Super Lawyer in 2011 and 2012 by Super Lawyers, which also selected her for its list of the 2012 and 2013 Top Real Estate Women Attorneys.
Jennifer is an adjunct professor of Real Estate Transactions at Columbia Business School and Columbia Law School.
